Welcome to the Chester Seed Library!

Downstairs of the library you’ll notice that our old card catalog has taken on a new life functioning as a Seed Library, stocked with an assortment of vegetable, flower, and herb seeds. This is our first year of providing seeds to the community so stock is limited. We will be expanding this service by offering additional resources to help you get started.

The Seed Library is self-service. Please keep the following in mind:

• You may select up to 5 types of seeds from our inventory.

• No doubling up on a particular variety.

• Seed choices are first-come first-serve.

• Bring your selection to the circulation desk so that we can keep track of seeds.

• Don’t want a whole pack? No problem. We have provided envelopes so you can take what you need, be sure to mark the outside.

To help with your gardening needs, visit the 635 section in the library.
